Now Boarding at Crawford: Crawford to North Conway Round trip!

Starting this summer, Conway Scenic Railroad is offering guests the opportunity to begin their journey at Crawford.

Crawford to North Conway Round trip tickets allow passengers to travel from Crawford to North Conway and back.

Please note that passengers intending to begin their journey at North Conway, should purchase tickets for the Mountaineer excursion that allows for a round trip from North Conway to Crawford.

This special ticket allows a passenger to travel to Crawford on the Morning Mountaineer train, enjoy approximately a 4 1/2 hour layover at Crawford, then return from Crawford on the afternoon train that boards at the Crawford station at 3:15 pm.

From June 28th through August 4th the Conway Scenic Railroad will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of the completion of the P&O Railroad track from Portland, Maine through the Crawford Notch to Fabyen in the Town of Carroll where it connected to the Boston, Concord, and Montreal railroad.

Join us for a bold Winter adventure! Travel by train over New Hampshire’s supremely scenic Crawford Notch in the winter. This is a seasonal variation of our Mountaineer that offers stunning views of the White Mountains in from the comfort of a classic mid-20th century streamlined train. The Winter Mountaineer boards at North Conway Station at 10:30am on select dates November 28 through March 2026.

Enjoy a ride aboard our 470 Club Excursion train that departs our N. Conway station and heads to Crawford Notch! This special train makes several stops along the way for passengers to de-board and take photos of our vintage locomotives and equipment as they run by for photo opportunities. This unique event will run approx. 5-8 hours and returns back to our station in N. Conway.

An extraordinary excursion that runs longer than usual to allow for several ‘Photo Run-bys’ – where guests aboard the train will have the opportunity to disembark at preplanned places along the line and make photographs or videos of the train as it rolls by.

Travel back in time on this heritage rail excursion! The Conway Valley Train is our classic rural train ride. This 11-mile, 55-minute round-trip journey is ideal if you’re traveling with young children.

Conway Scenic Railroad’s Snow Train offers a delightful wintery excursion down and back on the Conway Branch. This 55-minute journey recreates the experience of traveling from town to town on a mid-twentieth century passenger train in a frosty winter landscape.
