This is a seasonal variation of our Mountaineer that offers stunning views of the White Mountains from the comfort of a classic mid-20th century streamlined train.
The Winter Mountaineer boards at North Conway Station at 10:30am on select dates November 28 through March 2026.
A Journey Through Winter Beauty
The Winter Mountaineer excursion offers a winter rail experience that travels over New Hampshire’s scenic Crawford Notch.
The distance traveled into Crawford Notch may vary from trip to trip depending on weather and operating conditions.
Weather & Safety
In the event of unexpected very heavy snowfall or predictions for extreme winter weather, Conway Scenic Railroad will follow the safe course.
Extreme weather may require postponement for the date of travel on this train.
