Santa’s Holiday Special is a classic daylight weekend on-train excursion offering a taste of Christmas spirit on our heritage railcars. Santa himself may even make a guest appearance to thrill young travelers!

The annual 470 Club Excursion departs the North Conway station at 9 am on November 7, 2026 for an extended run over Crawford Notch! This once a year trip is a favorite of railway enthusiasts. It typically makes several photo stops along the way to enable passengers to disembark and make line-side photos of specially arranged vintage locomotives and equipment. This event typically runs between 5-8 hours and returns to the North Conway station in the evening.

Join us for a bold Winter adventure! Travel by train over New Hampshire’s supremely scenic Crawford Notch in the winter. This is a seasonal variation of our Mountaineer that offers stunning views of the White Mountains in from the comfort of a classic mid-20th century streamlined train. The Winter Mountaineer departs North Conway Station at 10:30am on select dates from November 28 through March 2027.

Conway Scenic Railroad’s Snow Train offers a delightful wintery excursion down and back on the Conway Branch. This roughly 1-hour journey recreates the experience of traveling from town to town on a mid-twentieth century passenger train in a frosty winter landscape.

Conway Scenic New Year’s Eve Late Special

Ring in 2027 on-board the New Year’s Eve Late Special!

This one-time special Train boards at 8:00 pm at North Conway for an 8:15 pm departure. Itinerary includes a trip west into the Mount Washington Valley and over Crawford Notch. Passengers will ring in the New Year on board the train and return to North Conway just after midnight on January 1st. On-board entertainment and a spirit of reverie will make for a festive atmosphere. Drinks and snacks available for purchase on-board.
