Dining

Dining service will resume again on June 8th.

Relive the golden days of railroading as you travel aboard one of our elegant Dining Cars: the Chocorua on the Valley Trains, or the Hattie Evans as part of the Notch Train’s First Class Package.

Dining on the rails is a tradition dating back to the mid-to-late 19th Century, when railroads across the country began offering meal service as an alternative to the roadhouses that were located at their water stops.  As competition among the railroads increased, dining car service was taken to new levels, and today a fascination with this tradition continues.

Here, you can enjoy dining off the menu, complete with friendly and attentive service, in a beautiful restaurant where the views are constantly changing.

Our restaurant partner is Attitash Mountain Resort, whose culinary team creates our delicious menus and provides the chefs and wait staff for the dining cars. All meals are prepared on board to your order and served with warm, friendly Yankee hospitality.

In the true spirit and tradition of railroad dining, you may be seated at tables of four with other Dining Car guests.
