Conway Scenic’s most scenic journey, the Mountaineer offers a supremely scenic 4 to 5.5 hour rail journey through the Mount Washington Valley and over the rugged Crawford Notch. Enjoy views of the Saco River, travel across towering viaducts and through the rocky crags at the top of Crawford Notch!
Our Mountaineer recreate the experience of a post-World War II transcontinental streamlined train with 1950s-era streamlined passenger cars. Choose from a variety of different experiences including premier class travel in deluxe upper dome seating.

Can be purchased for an additional fee. Since we make our lunches fresh, you must purchase them at least 48 hours in advance.

Sandwich options:
- Ham & Cheese Sandwich.
- Turkey & Cheese Sandwich.
Vegetarian option:
- Red-pepper hummus cup with carrot and celery sticks for dipping. Corn chips, string cheese, and salsa.
Child Lunch:
Uncrustables® peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwich,
served with chips and cookies
Adult box lunches include:
