Celebrate 150 years of railroad service over New Hampshire’s Crawford Notch!

The August 2nd, Crawford 150th Anniversary Special is a one-time event. This is a variation of the Mountaineer running a special schedule that departs North Conway for a commemorative run over Crawford Notch to mark the completion of the railroad that occurred back on August 7, 1875. This includes a special ceremony at the west end of the run. Please be advised that the ceremony is likely to involve very loud sounds in an effort to recreate the cacophonous events of 1875. 

The Crawford 150th Anniversary Special boards at the North Conway Station (38 Norcross Circle, North Conway, NH) starting at 9am and will depart promptly at 9:30 for a 5 ½ to 6 hour round trip. Seating is limited.

Guests are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure.

  • Ham & Cheese Sandwich paired with a toasted cracker, genoa salami, and white cheddar cheese charcuterie board, assorted apple slices, peanut butter, and a locally made whoopie pie.
  • Turkey & Cheese Sandwich paired with a toasted cracker, genoa salami, and white cheddar cheese charcuterie board, assorted apple slices, peanut butter, and a locally made whoopie pie.

Vegetarian option:

  • Red-pepper hummus cup, corn chips with cheese and salsa, gluten-free brownie and a bag of assorted apple slices with peanut butter.

Uncrustables® peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwich,
served with chips and cookies
